Hair Tips for the Big Day!!

With the New Year just beginning many resolutions are being made! Brides, remember to keep in mind a healthy body also means healthy hair!! Every girl shares the importance of having a great hairstyle on her wedding day, but something everyone does not always think about is how important it is to keep your hair healthy before the big day, as well.

You can’t get shiny and healthy hair simply from shampooing and conditioning alone. You MUST do things such as using products in your hair on a regular basis and getting regular haircuts to keep it looking this way! Many people are afraid of getting haircuts on a regular basis because they want their hair to grow. What they are not realizing is this will make your hair worse not better! Trimming off the dead ends will help it from looking frayed and splitting as well! After washing your hair, just about every single person uses some form of heat to style it. Whether this is from a blow dryer, flat iron, or curling iron, we all use them! Using a heat protectant before putting any type of heat to your hair is one thing you can do to see a noticeable difference in its overall health.

When it comes to the big day there are SO MANY things to consider with your hair!! One of the most important things I can say to do is schedule a trial beforehand to try out different styles and answer any questions you many have about your actual wedding day! Be sure to bring anything you have to help us get an idea of the look you’re going for. This could be pictures of hair styles, pictures of your dress, your veil, any hair piece or extensions you may want to wear! Doing this will make everything run very smoothly on the day of your wedding!

It is very important to be open minded when it comes to choosing a style. For example, if your hair is very long and heavy it may be more difficult to achieve the look you’re going for without adding in some layers or some framing around your face. Another thing to consider is getting some clip in extensions. They can be a great way of adding fullness and length to your hair without anyone even knowing! Don’t be afraid of using them! Shhhh, It can be your little secret!

Whatever you do… DO NOT change your hair drastically before the wedding! If you’re feeling the itch for a change, just trim your hair right before, but don’t cut a lot of length off because it is always better to work with more than less! Just as you shouldn’t change your cut, don’t make any extreme color changes as well. On your wedding day you’re supposed to look glamorous, but you can do this without straying too far away from your own look. When it’s all said and done that is the time to make any big changes!

So keep in mind girls, all of the time you put into picking out the perfect dress, veil, shoes, etc., for the most important day of your life, remember that all eyes will be on you. Make sure you have your hair looking as gorgeous as everything else you have worked so hard on! :)
